| Gall was a Hunkpapa Lakota leader. He played a big part in the Lakota war against the United States. He fought in Red Cloud’s War. Gall did not like the Fort Laramie Treaty. He became Sitting Bull’s military leader. He helped defeat Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Afterwards, Gall fled with Sitting Bull and their people to Canada. Gall brought his band back to the United States. They settled on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. |
