- What issues from the 1960s and 1970s are still important today?
- What would you do if you opposed America’s action in a war? If you disagree with your country’s policies, does that make you unpatriotic? Why or why not?

Ask students to use the Internet to do further research on a South Dakota history topic that really interests them. Then have students prepare a short magazine article about this topic, which they write and design at the computer. Make sure students include the web sites they used in their research. Print hard copies of these articles, bind them together, and give each student their own copy of your classroom’s "South Dakota History Magazine."
